I write, research, code and promote these sites. Beautiful Ocean Media also provides Web and Print Content Management, Public Relations, Social Networking, Copywriting, Editing and Writing services to websites, publications and companies.
Selected Accomplishments:
- Developed and launched Gridiron Goddess, a branded website covering NFL and NCAA Football. Gridiron Goddess is in its 3rd season of football coverage and averages 500 to 3,500 hits per day during football season.
- As the Gridiron Goddess, have been a guest on KROQ 106.7 fm’s Kevin and Bean show in Los Angeles and on the morning show on The Hawk 103.9 fm in Toronto giving football picks and color commentary on the weekend’s games.
- Invited to be a part of the female sports collective at http://www.PlayingtheField.net which garnered frequent mentions on Deadspin and over 25,000 hits per day when launched.
- Named one of 2008’s most influential female written sports blogs.

In my role as Head of Content my responsibilities included managing and overseeing all site content, writing two to four features on the film industry per week, editing the work of other writers within HTML editor, and proofreading the site for errors. Responsible for setting the foundation of the HSX Content team including contributing to the game to provide an informative and entertaining experience for the traders as well as maintaining a consistent tone throughout the site. Prepared and wrote press releases relating to special market activities on the Exchange. Managed company’s relationships with content providers, studios, public relations firms and freelancers.
Selected Accomplishments:
- My Review of King Kong was featured in the New York Times’ Carpetbagger blog. NY Times highlighted the “Gender Bent” angle. “Gender Bent” was a series for HSX which I created in conjunction with another writer.
- Launched several new editorial series such as Gender Bent Film Reviews, Friday Film-o-Rama and the Doc is In.
- Launched special securities for Project Runway & American Idol and wrote weekly summaries of each episode and critiques of each contestant.
In my role as Head of Operations, my responsibilities included: preparation of the annual operating budget and strategic plan updates, overseeing timely preparation of financial reports and analytical reviews. Managed the system of internal control over division’s finances. Acted as liaison to employee relations legal counsel. Processed accounts payable and receivable. Also responsible for sharing the Business Development duties and being the primary liaison for client relations on both the market data and prediction market sides of the business.

- Managed the transition from independent company to wholly owned subsidiary of Cantor Fitzgerald.
- After substantial layoffs, managed the move to smaller offices and sourcing a new tenant for old offices.

- Managed all ad campaigns; worked with clients and our tech team to ensure proper placement on our site, on target messaging and optimal visibility.
Project Manager, 10/1999 to 7/2000
Managed the complete renovation of 24,000 square feet of creative office space in West Hollywood. Property considered by City to be of historical significance as a student of Frank Lloyd Wright designed it. Provided estimates and budgets to Senior Management throughout build out. Planned and managed the move from two offices into new corporate headquarters, including facilitating the switchover of company’s network and desktop systems. Continued to supervise and administrate the functioning of both Santa Monica offices, provided new hire and exit orientations, tracked budgets for Operations department, provided space planning for old and new offices, and managed the move of both Santa Monica locations to new corporate headquarters. Facilitated the set up of all new utilities and services and the disconnection of all old utilities and services. Supervised the Receptionist and two Office Coordinators.

- Managed Core and Shell as well as Tenant Improvement phase of 3.2 million dollar, nine month long construction project.
- Interviewed, contracted with and managed Architects, Contractors, Civil, Structural, Systems, Electrical and Mechanical Engineers.
- Presented creative sign proposal before the West Hollywood City Council. Oversaw the engineering, design, building and installation of 5 foot high, 165-foot long ticker tape sign atop the building.
- Oversaw the selection, specification and installation of furniture systems, telephone switch, and data cabling.
